Already running Home Assistant?

Stuck on Home Assistant, or out of time to chase it?

You built it, or someone built it for you, and now something will not behave. We work on your existing system remotely, anywhere in Australia. You keep ownership and access, and we leave the system as open as we found it.

What people bring us

The usual ways a good setup gets stuck

Home Assistant is capable, and it rewards the time you put into it. These are the places owners tell us they have run out of that time.

01

Devices dropping off

Zigbee, Wi-Fi or Matter devices that keep going unavailable, then come back on their own or need a restart.

02

A dashboard nobody uses

It works, but it was built for the person who built it. We design wall tablet and phone dashboards the whole household can use.

03

Automations that misfire

Lights that come on twice, heating and cooling fighting each other, rules that worked until something else changed.

04

Energy that is connected, not coordinated

Solar, battery and EV all show up in Home Assistant, but nothing decides between them.

05

A system only one person understands

No documentation, and backups nobody has ever tried to restore. We tidy it, write it down and prove a backup restores.

06

Updates you keep putting off

Because something might break. We back up first, update with a way back, and tell you what changed.

Not on the list? Tell us what it is doing. If it is something you can fix yourself, we will say so.

How remote help works

Four steps, and you stay in control of each one

1

Free 30 minute call

You tell us what is wrong and what you have. We tell you plainly whether it is something we can help with, or something you can fix yourself.

2

You give us access, on your terms

Authorised in writing, over an encrypted private network, with a service login you can revoke at any time. We do not open ports to the internet.

3

We back up, then fix and tidy

A verified backup comes before any change. Then we fix what is wrong, tidy what is messy and document what we touched.

4

You get a short written summary

A plain list of what we found and what we changed, so the next person to open your system knows what is in it.

Your home, your data, your keys. We never watch cameras, track comings and goings or browse your history. How remote access works, in full.

Dashboards

The screen the whole house uses

Many Home Assistant setups work well for the person who built them and badly for everyone else. We design app-style dashboards for wall tablets and phones, so the household uses the system without asking you.

Afterwards

Keeping it healthy is optional

Plenty of owners fix it once and carry on alone, and that is a good result.

If you would rather not do the updates and backups yourself, our care plans start at $49 a month. They are monthly with no lock-in, and you can cancel anytime. See the care plans.

Questions

Before you ask

Do you need to visit my home?

No. HA Boost is delivered fully remotely, anywhere in Australia. On-site work is limited to Melbourne metro, and most Home Assistant help does not need it.

Will you lock me in or take over my system?

No. Home Assistant is an open platform and you own everything: the admin account, the hardware and the data. We hold a service login that you can revoke at any time, and when we finish you can ask us to remove our own access.

What access do you need?

Access that you authorise in writing and control. We connect over an encrypted private network, we never open ports to the internet, and every change is logged. We make a verified backup before we change anything.

Do you work with the devices I already own?

Yes. HA Boost is built for the Home Assistant and devices you already have, and we supply no hardware. If a fix needs a new device, any new additional devices we supply are quoted separately.

What does it cost?

HA Boost is typically $500 to $1,500. The scope is fixed and agreed in writing before we start: up to 10 hours of work, typically 10 to 15 devices. After the free 30 minute call we give you a fixed quote.

What if I do not live in Australia?

We serve Australia, and we do not take on work for homes overseas.
